A good step for a blogger or online entrepreneur to build reputation over the Internet is to write for another site and this is when guest posting comes into picture.
Guest blogging is pretty much as simple as it sounds. However you must remember that you have to obey the terms mentioned by the webmasters. You write an article and publish it on another site/blog as their guest. Sounds easy right?
Having your article published on another site puts your work and thoughts in front of a group of fresh prospects. Fresh eyes of the readers especially if the blog has a great number of traffic and loyal readers.
So how to be one?
The first thing to do is selecting sites that you are familiar with – the one that you read and follow. This will helps you to generate the ideas for your articles so it is easier for the webmaster to accept your article. Most webmasters looking to build community, not just attracting passing-by visitors.
For a site or blog that accepts guest posts, you will a link on the site that reads “write for us”, “submit your guest post” or something similar. And I guarantee you it will be easy to find this type of link! However if there isn’t a link for guest article submissions or guidelines for guest posting, you can send an email to the webmaster with your ideas.
Write your best article and send your best thought when you are writing the guest post. Make an impression and try to be noticed by the readers and other webmaster. Make sure you do your best one!
This is optional however I think this is a good attitude to be practiced – link to the pages within the site/blog that you are writing for. Some webmasters might do this while checking and modifying your article but it will be a great pleasure for them if you show some appreciation for their site. But don’t forget to link to your own site, blog, page, promotion or offer too.
Remember that every word matters!
One more thing is your author bio. Some blogs provide this section for guest bloggers so optimize this section as much as possible. Put simple but compact information about yourself together with your link. This is the best spot to promote yourself as the writer of the article.
After your article had been published, it is time to follow up your guest article!

Doesn’t hurt to be a regular commenter on the website you wish to guest post for. Once you establish a relationship with another author on the site through commenting it is much easier to get your foot in the door to contribute yourself.

Great Post! All blogs should try to weed out the poor posts. I accept guest authors and plan to turn away bad posts. There are also sites such as mine that provide contests for the top recommended posts. For those that feel they have a great article to post, try those sites. For those of you looking to try to attract new guest authors, I would suggest running a similar contest.
