I admit that I left this site without any update for a long, long time. And that is just one of the sacrifices that I have to do – an opportunity cost.
After blogging for half a year, I found that blog is an interesting way to get income and it motivated me to write more and more while making more connections with bloggers all over the Internet.
And when I found that having more blogs gives the potential for more income and experiences, I decided to create more blogs on different niches.
And yes, I got more.
And then I found Famous Bloggers – a multi-author blog administered by Hesham Fathy, a well-known blogger which I admire so much because of his amazing works. I submitted a few articles for Famous Bloggers -and then it gives me a new idea.
Why don’t I create one like this?
So I started to learn how a multi-author blog should work – and I took Famous Bloggers as the model. It’s design, system, interface and the benefits that it can give to the authors contributed to the blog.
I called it “Famous Bloggers model” because most of the time I refer to the site in creating my own multi-author blog. Well, I concluded the features I learned:
- User-friendly design and functions attract visitors become readers, and then contributors
- Guest writer should be given visible benefits – links, their chance to be known such as through contributors’ pics
- Webmaster should be user-friendly and easy to be contacted / able to communicate well
- Webmaster should make effort to communicate with guest writers
- The existence of policies for guest posting is very helpful
- Make it easy for guest writers to register themselves and submit their guest posts
- Make it easy for guest writers to share their guest posts via social networks
I practiced these features together with some modifications to my blogs (a few plugins and scriptings) and after a few months, I can see the positive results from my efforts.
- Increasing guest writers registered
- Increasing number of guest articles
- Increasing traffic
- Rich keywords and valuable contents
Some of best examples from my efforts is Daily Healthcare and Automotive Inside – you can see different guest writers contributed to these blogs in the latest updates. Well, I feel happy my efforts worth it.
And of course there are a lot of things to be improved such as design and functions so I can get more contributions from more guest writers in the future. Be honest and user-friendly as possible so guest writers will give their best contents for you. I always believe the concept of give and take.
Well – one more thing that I have to do is providing the function for the guest writers to share their works via social networks..
And yes, there’s a lot more to be learned!
