If yes, have you determined your policies for guest posting on your blog?
Having policies is something that shouldn’t ignore although some webmasters believe that having policies sometimes can reduce the interest of guest bloggers to submit their guest posts. Policies function as a general guide for guest bloggers on do and don’ts in writing for your blog.
You can have a simple set or detailed policies in submitting guest post for your blog. However it is recommended not to be strict on your policies or you will avoid more guest bloggers from considering submitting their posts for your blog.
State the general policies relevant to your blog for example:
- Articles must be related to your blog niche.
- Originally written article.
- No affiliate link are allowed.
- Limited relevant links.
- Articles which can bring harm/sensitivity/racial is not allowed.
You can put your policies in an exclusive page or include them together in your “Write for us” page as implemented here in Guest Posting Tips’s “Write for Us” page.
Be relevant. Be moderate. Not too loose and not too strict.
