in Tips For Writers

I realized a bad habit of many guest writers – they left their guest posts behind after they had been published.

It’s true that you don’t have to do anything once you article had been published by the webmaster, but that is not the right way if you want to find your way to success in doing guest posting.

So how? Yes, follow up your guest posts!

I believe the methods of following up your guest posts are simple but have effective results on your reputation and performance, so let’s see how to and why you should follow up your guest posts.

HOW TO FOLLOW UP YOUR GUEST POSTS

1. Retweet your article

I believe this is the easiest way of promoting your guest article so never forget to do this.

2. Replying to comments

You understand your article better than the webmaster so it is a wise act to assist the webmaster in replying to the comments. There are many blogs with threaded comment function today so don’t worry about how to reply the comments.

3. Writing a follow up article at your own blog

After you (had been) noticed that your guest posts had been published by the webmaster, write a follow up article at your own blog. A follow up article can be related to the your guest posts on the similar topic and maybe you can add some extra points or explanations but keep in mind not to republish the same article or you might lose your chance to submit another article to the particular webmaster.

WHY YOU SHOULD FOLLOW UP YOUR GUEST POSTS

1. It’s the chance for you to build your reputation.

2. Time to create a good perception in the eye of the webmaster.

3. It’s your masterpiece – you should follow what happened to it.

WRAP UP

Well, there’s a lot of advantages from following up your guest posts and plus, you got a lot of advantages from it. So start looking back and follow up your guest posts now!
