Have you ever experienced your guest post has been rejected?

I have. And I sure most of you have experienced it. I consider the one who has never been rejected as the luckiest person and it’s very rare. I was very frustrated when my guest article had been rejected however later I realized being rejected is not the end point. There must be a way to improve. And I keep writing and writing.

If your guest post had been rejected, there are 3 steps that I suggest you do for your article:

1. Revise

Don’t wait too long due to your frustration. After being noticed your guest post had been rejected, revise your article. See if there any major mistake such as spelling, grammar or misleading content. The common major mistake for a guest article is the article is not related to the niche of the blog where it should be published. It is better and a bonus if the webmaster tells you why your guest post had been rejected and consider looking at the points that the webmaster had mentioned. This is important as you can know more about the webmaster’s expectation.

2. Restructure

After finish making revision of your article, restructure it. You don’t have to recreate it back unless it’s too hard to modify. In that case, I suggest you write a new one. Correct all the mistakes you done in the article including grammar, spelling and of course, the way you write. Some webmasters reject guest articles because they don’t like how it had been written so make sure to stick with how the webmaster’s communicate so you can expect how you should write to ensure your guest post will be accepted.

3. Resubmit

You have two option for this step – resubmit your guest post to the particular webmaster or publish it in your blog. If the webmaster ready to review again your guest post, it’s a nice thing but if not, I suggest you publish it yourself and see the results. You might want to submit it as a guest post to other webmaster however doing this might result in your guest post will be rejected again. Yes, you can try but from my personal suggestion – just publish it in your blog.

Wrap Up

Having your guest post rejected is a normal thing and it’s a way of learning and in the same time tells you to keep improving and writing more quality articles. We might never realize it when writing through our own blog but when we submit it as a guest article, it’s time to realize the mistake that we had done.

The most important thing is to take it as a motivation and lesson to keep improving.
